A similarity report shows which parts of your paper match existing published sources and how much of your text overlaps with them. yesweturnitin runs a pre-submission similarity check on your document and emails you the report, so you can review matching text before your instructor does.
What a similarity report shows you
Your report includes an overall similarity score — the percentage of your text that matches sources in the checking database — plus highlighted passages showing exactly which sentences match and where those matches come from. That makes it easy to spot quotes you forgot to cite, paraphrases that stayed too close to the original, or reference lists being counted as matches.
A similarity score is not a plagiarism verdict. It is a review tool: matching text can be perfectly legitimate when it is quoted and cited correctly. The report gives you the information to make that judgement yourself before submission.
How to get your report
Upload your document (PDF, DOCX, or TXT, up to 20 MB) or paste the text directly, enter your email, and pay the flat $5 fee by card. Your check is then run manually and the report is emailed to the address you provided — usually within a few hours.
Every report is tied to a completed, verified payment. You will receive an order confirmation right after checkout, and your report follows once the check is complete.
Private and secure by design
Your document is handled only as necessary to provide the checking service. We do not sell your document or use it for marketing. Your file is reviewed manually only to produce your report. Payment is processed securely by Stripe — yesweturnitin never sees or stores your card details. If you want your file deleted after delivery, just reply to your report email and ask.
